Nonetheless those who roll the dice are occasionally rewarded with quality catches with some larger dolphin thrown in. And unusually frequent shots at blue marlin continue, adding extra incentive to swing for the fence. The back country, to put it bluntly, is red-hot, particularly for snook and redfish with some very nice patches of big spotted seatrout thrown in. Large numbers of juvenile to medium-sized tarpon, with a few very big individuals, still grace the far back country areas. Unusually large numbers of big tripletails have also been abundant. Meanwhile July saw consistent evening tarpon action in specific areas and tides.
The Post Card main building is now open, along with the front beach area, leaving only completion of the waterfront restaurant to finish the project.
